Handwriting Evaluations
includes the following:

  • A parent interview
  • School paper / writing sample review
  • Handwriting observation session
  • Written assessment report
  • Individualized remediation plan


Evaluations use The Handwriting Without Tears Print Tool to assess how your child writes capital letters, lowercase letters and numbers. The written report will include scoring each skill listed below and offers the basis for the individualized remediation plan.

  • Memory
  • Orientation
  • Placement
  • Size
  • Sequencing
  • Control
  • Spacing

Other Observations:
  • Pencil grip
  • Writing posture
  • Paper placment


Private Tutoring Sessions
each 30 minute session includes:

  • A multi-sensory approach
  • Developmentally appropriate activities
  • Activities based on the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum
  • Activities to practice at home
     

Fees:

  • $75 for handwriting assessments
  • $35 for each private tutoring session
  • Only cash and checks accepted

Do you have a group of educators that would like more information on prewriting skills or handwriting strategies?  Topics can be individualized for your needs. In addition to the helpful topics for parents shown above, some informative topics are :

Will travel for workshop and demonstration services.  Fees will be determined by group size, materials needed and travel time.
